Can Jalra-m 50/500 Mg Be Taken For Blood Sugar Level?
I had been taking AZULIX - 1 one tab daily. But my doctor has advised me to switch over to JALRA-M 50/500 mg. two tabs / day against my present Blood Sugar level at 203 ( fasting ) & 295 ( PP) . I am 61 years old. Should I continue the prescribed dose of JALRA - M 50 / 500 mg. & if so, how long ?
Dear sir/madam i can understand your concern in my opinion when compared to AZULIX (glimepiride) the medication Jalra-m(vildagliptin with metfromin) is having better metabolic profile as your medication azulix stimulates your pancreas and extract insulin from them in due course of time it might lead you to a condition called secondary pancreatic failure. In that condition you might not be able to produce sufficient insulin even which high dose of tablets. the medication Jalra -m is not associated with such trouble and also it is having very low rate of hypoglycemia when compared to other drug. your doctor suggested you a good medication and you can take that medication from now onwards to have a better sugar control. regards
