Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Multiple kidney stones form due to :-less intake of water as compared to water going out of the body( urine;sweat;loss in respiration);some people have tendency to form stones;due to calcium in body which the body is not able to dispose out.Many times small stones even if they are more than one come out through urine with associated pain or with out pain also.If the stone get stuck in the urinary track then surgery becomes necessary.So in your friends case also he should drink enough water and go for urine whenever there is sensation to do so and not wait or hold his urine for long time.Take medicines as advised if prescribed by doctor.As far as warm water is concerned it will not help as stones do not dissolve .So tell him to drink more water and he should be fine only if need arises he may require surgery till then he can wait.
Thanks
