Can Labyrinthitis Cause Mouth Ulcers?

Hi,

I have been suffering with severe mouth ulcers now for about 4 month's I originally thought it was the statins I was taking. However, after going away (followin g stopping taking the statins) they have now come back. The ulcers appear in all ares of my mouth (including he roof of my mouth), and are volcano shaped, I suffered with laberynthitus a while ago, and wondered if this could be somehow linked to the ulcers. Please could you help me?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Recurring Apthous Ulcers and can occur commonly due to a number of causes like deficiency of iron and vitamin B12, acid reflux, dry mouth, stress, allergic reaction to medication etc..
Labyrinthitis is inflammation of inner ear and does not seems to be causing ulcers in mouth..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can start taking a multivitamin tablet daily..
Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine to relieve pain..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia..
Avoid spicy foods..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
