Can Leg Exercises Be Performed If Reduction Of Joint Space Is There?
There is mild reduction of joint space in the medial tibiofemoral compartment bilaterally. The HKA angle measures App. -5 degrees on right and app.-4 degrees on left I have little mild pain in my knee. Can i do leg exercise ? Like squats n all By light exercise i feel 80% recover. Can i do weight training ? Is this causes arthiritis in future ? Which type of precaution should i take ?
Hello, I have studied your case and I would suggest you to avoid squatting stairs climbing or cycling . It will increase knee arthritis. To increase leg strength you should do walking for thirty minutes daily in the park. No need to run or do jogging. It is not useful. Just normal walking. Also learn static quadriceps exercise. I would advise you to any exercise where knee bending is above 90 degree. It will put pressure on the knee joint. Also take regular calcium and vitamin D 3. Thanks
