hi i m 21 , i met with an accident last week ,from that night i could n sleep properly ..... when i con sulted with doctor , he advised me to take libotrype and rabeloc 20mg for a month ,,, will it cause side effects? if yes ? wat is the best solution for this?
Libotrype (Amitriptyline 12.5 mg + Chlordiazepoxide 5 mg) is essential for the relief of anxiety and additionally, Amitriptyline has also analgesic effect. Rabeloc (Rabeprazole) 20mg is an antacid of PPI(proton pump inhibitor) group. Chlordiazepoxide on the long term can have side effects like abnormal liver function tests; hepatic dysfunction including hepatitis and jaundice. Hence discontinue Libotryp, if you feel better. Rabeloc (Rabeprazole) is usually prescribed for short term (21 days) but can be for a longer period or indefinite as necessary for symptom control.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
