Can Loop Diathermy Cause False Test Results For Pregnancy?
Hi I had a Loop Diathermy 7 weeks ago.
I started having intercourse again 2 weeks ago, i haven't even had change to miss a period yet but had tender breasts yesterday, i took a home pregnancy test this morning, thinking absolutely nothing of it but just because there had been one in our cupboard from a scare almost a year ago and to my shock it came back positive! i thought maybe the test is out of date so went out in my lunch hour and bought two first response ones...both positive. Can loop diathermy cause false positive tests because surely it would be too early to be real? im a little in shock?
There are less chances for false positive test due to loop diathermy. If you had unprotected intercourse during your ovulation period then there are chances of being pregnant also. If you are more concerned then take a serum Beta HCG which is more reliable.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
