Can Low Eosinophil Count Be The Reason For Weakness And Itching?

The person i am dealing with has gone for CAGB last year and he was doing fine. he is 70 years old. Recently he has undergone basic blood tests. Where his eosinophil count was 13%, the test was repeated after a week and found that it has further increased to 17%. The absolute eosinophil count is 1148/cumm. He is from india. there is no other symptoms except little weakness, and itchy sensation. Please suggest.

Hello,

more than 500/microliter are too many. Common conditions that cause this eosinophi count include drugs (perhaps a recently started drug), allergic reactions and parasitic infections. Itchiness points toward the allergic aetiology.
Other less common conditions vasdulitides, hematologic malignancies etc.
The data you've provided are not enough to indicate the cause.
I hope I've helped!
If you need more information, please let me know. I'll be glad to help.

Kind Regards!
