Can Low Hemoglobin Level Cause Swelling In Legs?

low hemoglobin as such as 9.5 can have effects that it causes swellinig at ankels and feet.

Note the patient had brain tumor surgery and has undergone radio thearaphy, only the leg swelling still exists it leave an impression when pressure is applied for some 5 seconds

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Hemoglobin level does not primarily cause swelling in the ankle and feet. It is usually secondary to an associated cardiac condition like hypertension.
2. You are talking about pitting swelling of the legs.
3. Elevation of the limb above the cardiac level, like in lying down position with two pillows below legs will reduce the swelling. Additionally, diuretics like furosemide can also help in reducing swelling.
4. Need to reduce swelling sooner, to avoid ulceration due to edema.
