Can Low Iron Content In The Blood Show Patches On Skin?
Hello. 10 days ago I started taking ferrous sulphate as blood tests showed my iron levels were low. In the last week I have noticed several patches of dry skin on my upper arms and torso, about the size of a small coin. Could this be a side effect or something else?
According to your complaints it seems to discoid eczema. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid cream cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily and take antihistamine like tablet Cetirizine once daily for 2 weeks.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
