Can Microgynon 30 And Cerazette Cause Weight Gain?

hii i ve been on micrognyon 30 pills and my gp gave me cerazette..because i had a quite bad headache.. today i just started to take cerazette pills.. ,im just 21 years old. and this is my second contraceptive pills what i use and i just started to take the first 3 months ago.. and i noticed my weight is bigger than it was before... Should i have to afraid this .,when i use cerazette too?

Hi,

Weight gain is more common with implants and Depo injections than oral contraceptives. Weight gain caused by oral contraceptive drug is mainly due to fluid retention rather than fat accumulation. You can monitor your symptoms for the next few cycles. In case of no other side effects,you can continue the drug.
