Can Mifeprostone Be Taken To Abort Possible Pregnancy?
Hi doctor, i just got married before twenty and had an intercourse before fifteen days from today. Im not sure that im pregnant right now but we dont want child right now because of some family issues. Can i take mifepristone tablets to avoid or abort pregnancy? but not sure im pregnant.

Understand your concern
You have to first confirm the pregnancy by pregnancy kit/blood HCG/USG. Medical abortion pills should be used under observation of gynecologist after confirming early (up to 63 days) intrauterine (inside uterus) pregnancy by trans vaginal USG. Medical abortion pill require medical prescription and you can use gynecologist prescribed abortion kit. By method 600 mg mifepristone should be followed by misoprostol 400 ug vaginally or orally after 24 hour. Another 400 ug misoprostol after four hour under supervision of gynecologist. Do not take self medication at home as it cause incomplete abortion, abnormal development of pregnancy and excessive bleeding that require special attention course. After 14 days,abortion process completeness should be checked by USG.
Make habit to use condoms and emergency contraceptive pills to avoid similar situation in future.
