Can Missed Birth Control Pill Cause Missed Periods?
yea hi i had a question, my girlfriend seems to be delayed or missing her peroid this month, we use condoms but once and a while we dont but i never go inside of her, now i know she told me she missed 2+ days this month of her birthcontrol funel fe birthconrtol and i read that you can and will miss your peroid for that month just wanted to confirm this.
Birth control pills can give effective protection when used according to the schedule. If one pill is missed and taken within 24 hours, the protection will continue. But if two pills missed continuously with pill free period of 48 hours, complete protection cannot be expected. And pregnancy has to be ruled out.
Missing the pills itself may not lead to missed periods usually, during usage of birth control pills the onset of withdrawal bleeding may alter depending on hormonal levels. If she didn't get her periods even one week after stopping the pills, better to go to urine pregnancy test once to rule out the possibility of pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
