Can Missed Dosage Of Sprintc Still Protect And Avoid Pregnancy?
hello, am taking the contraceptive Sprintc , i ve been taking it for 2 weeks now, am on the 3th week.. the first week i didn t took it at the same time. bt this pasted week and the one am strarting i ve been exsacted on the time am taking it.. and i wanet to know if it s save for me to have sex unprotected with my husband without the risk of geting preg.
Sprintex is a combination hormone contraceptive pill. It starts its contraceptive effect right away, if tablet is started on 1st day of cycle. However, if you start it mid-cycle, then contraceptive effect will depend on the phase of cycle and level of hormone. Maximum risk of pregnancy, with starting the tablet mid-cycle will be, if you start it near the ovulation time. Hence you should avoid sexual exposure at least for 7 days or adopt alternative method of contraception simultaneously for these 7 days to avoid risk of pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
