Hi, my name is Adriana. I am pregnant (6 weeks). I am taking levothyroxine 0.025 mg every morning for my hypothiroydism. I had an appointment with my doctor today, and he change my schedule for taking my pills. I have to take my pills every day at night. My questions is. If I took my pill today at 8:00 am in the morning. Can I take my pill today at night or can I wait until tomorrow at night?
Hello, I read carefully your concern and understood your query. First of all you should be sure that he was an endocrinologist because levothyroxine at night is recommended in rare cases (in drivers who can not take it in the morning). There are still doubts if levothyroxine at nigh is as effective as in the morning. Anyway, if you will continue to take it at night, at least 3 hours hsould have pass from the last meal and take it at the same day, do not wait for tomorrow.
