Can Missing Two Dosages Of Birth Control Pill Cause Intermenstrual Bleeding?

Hi, I just had my period last week (started Wednesday 6th August and ended Friday). I started taking the pill again on Friday and Saturday but I d forgotten to on Sunday and Monday. Today (Tuesday), I woke up and found that I was bleeding the same amount I would if I was on my period. I took two pills today and will take two pills tomorrow, is there something wrong with me or is it just withdrawal bleeding? I went to the gp and he told me I should only be taking one pill - I m on levlen ed.

hello user,levlen ed contains 21 hormonal pills and 7 non hormonal pills..if u missed your non hormonal pills..dont worry..if u missed your hormonal pills it causes intermenstural bleeding..during periods u have to take non hormonal pills....dont worry..from next cycle take 1 pill daily on time..
