Can Mitral Valve Prolapse Cause Afib And PVCs?

Hi! I have had recent bouts of rapid atrial fibrillation and increased ventricular ectopy. Luckily I had an event monitor on so all was documented. I am a 58 year-old healthy woman with symptomatic MVP on metoprolol. Question: was it the MVP that caused the afib and pvc s or the Maxalt I was on for migraines? I was prescribed Imitrix or maxalt for years. Presently off metoprolol and on sotalol. Feeling a thousand times better!
