Can Muffled Hearing Be Related To Sinus Infection, Bronchitis Or Shingles?
I have a sinus infection and Bronchitis. I blew my nose too hard one day and my ear popped. That was 10 days ago. GP stated I had vesicles in my right middle ear and thought it might be shingles. I was on antibioticcs and antivirals medication. My ear is now swollen even on my external areas. I have ringing and muffled hearing and some pressure. What can heal my ear?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Shingles are due to reactivation of herpes virus,Treatment for this is symptomatic and recovery is spontaneous. Medications helps in early recovery and prevent complication. Treatment usually involves Pain killers, Antivirals and antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. Oral corticosteroids given to reduce inflammation and duration of symptoms. Continue antibiotics and antivirals, Can ask your doctor for prescription of pain killers. Usually recovery seen with in a 7 days. If recovery delays or progression of symptoms happens consult doctor immediately.
Hope this helps you.
