Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can muscle tension feel like pvcs or pacs. I feel them at the upper part of my abdomen and in my throat. It s usually when my sinuses are stopped up or I m having other trouble breathing or issues that cause issues that cause tension in the muscles in the stomach or chest. Can t tell if they ate pvcs. The other day I had what I counted were 10 or 11 in a row. I should ve been dizzy if it was my heart right? Is it possible for muscle tension to be similar to these pvcs pac episodes?
Anxiety and muscle tension can mimic this clinical situation. But, before coming to this conclusion, I would recommend performing an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring in order to investigate for PACs or PVCs and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, thyroid hormone levels, blood electrolytes).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
