Can My Child Play Football After Being Diagnosed With Varicocele?

my son was just diagnosed with a varicocele and has a football game tonight that he wants to play in. His doctor wants to refer him to a urologist and said he shouldn't play tonight. He said it wouldn't hurt him but that if he gets hit there that it might cause further problems. What is your thought?

Thanks for the question. Yes i do feel the same and preventing catastophe is better than cure. Any accidental hit can make situation worse. Let the varicocoele get treated first , he can play football anytime later.
