Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Neck And Shoulder Pain, Cervical Stenosis, Tinnitus, Hearing Loss Be Treated?
I have severe neck pain that radiates into my shoulder for the past two months. I also have tinnitus mainly in my right ear and recently loss of hearing in that ear as well. I ve having physical therapy 3x week but it doesn t seem to be helping. The pain is daily and disabling. I have had an Xray and MRI to rule out a brain tumor. I do have cervical stenosis. Stretching exercises and anti-inflammatories help somewhat but are only temporary. Same with heat and/or ice. What is my next step? Spine specialist or Pain Management? I ve also considered acupuncture. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Welcome back After going through your query I cancluded that you may be having cervical spondylitis with cervical stenosis. Primary treatment of it is analgesic such as diclofenac, Diacerine , glucosamine and Mecobalamine . If this doesn't respond to it within 2months then probably it may require operative decompression. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. I think your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
