Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I am currently taking Norco for kidney stones and xanax for anxiety. My doctors are aware I am taking both (not together but through out the day). I have been suffering from chest pains and wonder if its from the medication... This happens a lot during working out too. I have been taking both meds for awhile and this pain has just been resent in the last 2 months or so. Thanks
I am so sorry to hear about this repeated chest pain especially during working out. These drugs are not known to cause chest pains. Norco itself is a pain medication and should not in any way cause pain. The nature of tis pain mandates an investigation into a possible cardiac origin.. This may represent what we call stable angina. I will recommend that you see consultation and get at least a basic cardiac investigation to rule out any potentially dangerous causes. Starting with a primary care physician would be good.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
