Can Numbness In Right Hand Be Caused By A Compressed Nerve?

I have numbness in my right hand including my fingers. Same as pins and needles. This is there all the time and does not go away. I have had a scaphoid fusion several years ago but the pins and needles I have know has only been for a year. I have had xrays on my upper spine. Top 8 vertebrae are worn. Is it likely to be caused by nerve being compressed in spine or due to bone fusion. I do not have it in my right arm, just all my fingers. Thanks

Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic. After going through your query I concluded that you are having cervical spondylitis. You are having numbness in your right hand. I think it is due to compression of nerve in neck due to cervical spondylitis. It does not seem to be due to fusion of scaphoid in wrist. Its treatment is neck excercises, Diacerine, Glucosamine, Mecobalamin. Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be giBen for pain relief. You can discuss it with your doctor. Hope your query get answered. If you have additional questions and clarification then please don't hesitate to write us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
