hello, my 5 year old daugher has a nystagmus with squint..doctor is not suggesting surgery for squint yet...the squint is not permanant..she adjust her eye as per teh reqiurement to view things...she has a delayed milestone otherwise a very happy child..pls suggest if surgery will help her in both squint n nystagmus
she is adjusting vision by head tilt her brain is accepting the best vision and other eye is suppressed.now if operation is done before nine years and cover treatment is given then lazy eye will improve. after that age amblyopia will be permanent. substituent correction will be somatic. however you consult squint sur geon and take advise.
