Can Obesity Cause Reddish Swollen Ankles?

Hey, I am an overweight 22 year old bulked up bodybuilder, the reason that I have arrived on this site is that for awhile now I have been noticing that I have dark reddish purple ankles that are somewhat tender to the touch (swollen). Is this simply from just being OVERWEIGHT? after I diet down and get back to my original weight of around 235-240 at about 7-10% bodyfat will this discoloration go away? I am currently 290 lbs. at about 19% bodyfat 6 ft. 1Thanks,Matt

Hi
looking at your symptoms it seems that you might have hurt his ankle
swelling redness and tenderness is suggestive of acute inflammation
in my opinion you should take complete rest
tab diclofenac for pain relief
crepe bandage
get an X Ray of ankles and blood test for Uric acid done for further course of treatment
Hope i have answered your query
