Can Olive Oil Massage Cause Skin Darkening In 5 Months Old Baby?

hi, my baby is 5 months old now. for the past 5 months i've been using olive oil to massage his body. he was very fair from the day he born till 30 days. His skin turning dark from 2nd month onwards slowly.
does olive oil change the skin color darker? I'm worried. plz help me.

Hi, Thanks for asking. No, Olive oil does not cause skin darkening. Usually at and after birth skin has lighter tones. As the child grows and the skin matures the child starts attaining the skin tone which the child is going to have according to his genes.
