Hi. I took postinor 2 twice the previous month and I got my period. I then had sex on the 1st of September and I think I was ovulating, so I took postinor 2 immediately. I feel strange,so I did a urine test which came back negative(I did this 8 days after unprotected sex). Please what are my chances of still being pregnant?
Hello, Thanks for letting us know your health concern. You are well protected even if you were ovulating during the sexual act as you took the emergency contraceptive pill soon after the intercourse. The home pregnancy test cannot read so soon if you suspect pregnancy. You have to go for the blood test. Also, since you consumed the emergency contraceptive pill several times in recent times, your hormone balance is going to be disrupted and a such, you can expect erratic cycles. Do not use the pill more than once or twice per year. Instead, go for regular contraception. Please get further help from your consultant. Take care.
