Can Oophorectomy Or Insertion Of Urethral Stent Cause Burning In Upper Thigh?
I had laparascopic oopherectomy to remove both tubes and ovaries. One was embedded in pelvic wall with extensive adhesions. At that time they also inserted a ureteral stent due to getting to close to the ureter when removing the ovary. I have a burning pain in the upper thigh area and leg pain. Is this due to the oopherectomy or the stent? The stent will be removed in a week.
hi healthcare magic user, pain in thigh and burning sensation in thigh may be due to position if surgery is prolonged. Or postsurgey it could be postural also strain on right leg. Other possibility could be nerve compression. Diagnosis needs examination tests to confirm it. if I would have been your doctor I would have advised you to take rest, hot fomentation for affected area. Add some multivitamins containing vitamin C, B12 for rapid healing.
