Can Orange Discharge After Unprotected Intercourse Indicate Implantation Bleeding?
I stopped taking my birth control half way through the pack, then i had unprotected sex. after that my period was 2 days late, then only lasted 2 days...stopping abrubtly. then 1 day after it stopped i got some light red then turning orangish discharge (im not sure if thats the right word) only when I wiped, and that only lasted 24 hours. Is there a possibility I could be pregnant and that was some form of weird implantation bleeding? Thank you for your time.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, the possibilities are- a hormonalbreakthrough bleeding since you went off the pills mid-way in the cycle or a very early pregnancy with an implantation bleed. To clarify, you have to get a HPT with a fresh early morning sample of urine 3-7 days after your expected date; an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres is a better choice in view of persistent spotting. If positive, further management can be planned accordingly. A trans-vaginal sonogram should be done to know the status of the pelvic organs. Hope this helps.
