Can Over-the-counter Reading Glasses At 1.25 Be Purchased According To The Below Mentioned Prescription?
I just got a new prescription and need some advice.
The prescription reads:
OD: Sph +0.50, Cyl -1.50, Axis 098, ADD 1.25
OS: Sph +0.50, Cyl -1.50, Axis 100, ADD 1.25
I hate my glasses, so my doctor ordered me some contacts:
OD: Pwr +0.50, Cyl -1.25, Axis 100
OS: Pwr +0.50, Cyl -1.25, Axis 80
These seem good for distance, but I need 'readers'.
Here's my question. My insurance will cover either contacts or glasses, but not both.
I'd like to use the insurance on my contacts.
Can I buy an over the counter pair of 'readers' at 1.25? Based on my above prescription, would that work?

can go for contact but only problem is cylinder can go for contact of sphear wth idea is you should be comfortable the corrected specs or contact can keep specs for use as and when requeredith cylinder in specs compensated. yes over the counter near glass will work.
