Can Pain Behind Ears Be Symptom Of Subdermal Hematoma?

I hit my head skiing. I wear a helmet. I remember the incident and do not having ringing in the ear however I have significant pain behind my right ear. I m worried about subdermal hematoma. What would be a symptom or sign? Any information you have would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of hitting the head while skiing. No ringing in the ears but have significant pain behind the ear in spite of you had helmet on.
You have asked about subdermal hematoma, subdermal means just below the skin and yes this can cause such a pain.
You are right even though you may be meaning to say ''sub-dural'' (not subdermal).Such a pain can occur even in sub-dural hematoma. Sub-dural mean just bellow the dura covering of the brain on its outside but inside the skull bone.
In such a case, you should immediately go for MRI or CT scan and clinical evaluation by a Neurosurgeon.
