Can Pain In Abdomen And Back Along With Nausea And Dizziness Be Due To Side Effect Of Taking Flagyl?
I've been having left abdominal/back pain for the last day and a half. Until two days ago, I was taking Flagyl 500mg (the generic version, anyway) and throughout the week I was on it, felt nauseated and dizzy, and just not at all good. what do you think this side pain could be?

Flagyl or metronidazole can cause pain abdomen, nausea and vomiting. These are common side effects of flagyl. left abdominal or back pain might because of the disease that your taking flagyl for.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported.
Nausea, vomiting and general ill feeling are typical side effects of flagyl. However, the back pain would not be. I will suggest that you get a one time pain medication to control these pains. As you get done with flagyl, the other related symptoms would also subside. Unless otherwise, I will not recommend any aggressive medical intervention at this time.
