ENT Specialist 's  Response
Parotids are present on the side of face just over and behind the angle of jaw between two tense fibrous plates, thus ay infection in parotids results in severe pain and swelling. Further they can give pain in ear and neck too because of the same, mucus in mouth could be inflamed parotid, thus medical treatment of the same with an otolaryngologist or family physician is required
