For years, I've had chronic thick white ear flaking in my left outer ear (much less in my right). I clean it and within 24 hrs or less, more flakes have returned. Have tried an anti-dandruff shampoo in my ears -- This doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
Use an anti-dandruff shampoo. You need to clean the ear by an ENT surgeon. He needs to clean your ear and do an examination under microscopy. He needs to see whether there is no fungal infection.
If fungal infection is there, then you need to clean and give Clotrimazole ear drops 3 drops thrice daily for 1 week. If it is simple flaking due to dandruff, then it is alright.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
