Can Placing A Cervical Cerclage Week 12 And 14 Ensure Full Term Pregnancy?
Hi, I m Padma from Australia. I have had two premature babies, of which the earlier one died. So I had an emergent cerclage done to my cervix with my second baby at week 20. Unfortunately, my cerclage got prolapsed and I went on to delivering my baby at week 27. So my question is, if my doctor plans to place a cerclage between week 12 and 14 of my next pregnancy, is there a bright chance of having a baby at full term?
Dear madam,I understand your concern.in my opinion as you had two previous history of preterm delivery better to do prophylactic circlage.it is done at 14 wks usually or two weeks early to prior wastage as early as 10 wks.success rate is upto 80%.so dont worry with cerclage and supportive treatment mostly this pregnancy will be successful.you dont take physical or mental strain, take rest .and have a happy pregnancy.
