Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
According to your question, the possibilities are : *If she is having regular menstrual cycles, the possibility of pregnancy is less as, Usually ovulation will not occur around 28 day of menstrual cycle. She took emergency contraceptive pill within 9 hours of intercourse. Usually if taken in the second half of the cycle emergency contraceptive pill can delay the cycle because of the higher hormones levels in it. You can expect withdrawal bleeding after 7 to 10 days of taking the tablet. *But, if her menstrual cycles are irregular and as sometimes emergency contraceptive pill may not give efficient protection after ovulation, we cannot completely rule out the possibility of pregnancy, in that case better to undergo Urine Pregnancy Test once.
Hope I have answered your query and I will be happy to answer any further follow-up queries. Take care.
