Can Pregnancy Happen Despite Taking An Oral Contraceptive Pill?
Hey I need some help, I last got my period on the 5th of feb and had unprotected sex on the 8th, I had taken the morning after pill the next day and never got my period and currently 12 days late. I have had sex multiple times since protected and unprotected, taken a pregnancy test and came back negative. I had taken another morning after pill again today because my partner had ejected inside me. I am worried abou not getting my period and the chances I could be pregnant
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As you took Ipill so chances of pregnancy are unlikely. These pills alters the normal hormonal levels of the body which can delay the periods as well. However i would suggest you to wait for a week and if still periods does not start then once visit hospital and get ultrasound pelvis done.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
