Can Pregnancy Tests Be False Positive?

Hi i had my period on 2 or 3rd march 2011 and had last sex on 16th after that in april i did got my period but late and than on i got my periods in may and june but now in july i m not getting them, i fear that may b pregnant. its already 10 days past my period date. please help me.. i have few symptons of being pregnant but i am not sure.
i did pregnancy test at home in april which was negative but today when i did it turned out positive, please help me ASAP

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is possible that you might have conceived in March, but sometimes the ovulation is delayed and hence the conception is delayed. In that case, the urine pregnancy test comes positive a bit late. The cyclical bleeding sometimes continue in pregnancy till the placenta is not formed completely.
However, it is also possible that you might have conceived in this cycle only.
I would suggest you to get a ultrasound done to confirm the gestation age of fetus and further management should be done accordingly.
