Can Prenatal Vitamins Be Taken By An Elderly Woman?
My mom is 80 yrs old, and I am 57(today) lol. Anyways, she was told by her grand daughter to take prenatal vitamins for her nails, hair and skin as her nails peel and split. I told her to check with her doctor about that as it has IRON and I wasn t sure how much Iron is too much for her or my age. And the vitamins for over 50 don t have Iron at all and thought there may be a reason for that, what can you tell us about taking extra iron like that
instead of taking prenatal or antenatal vitamins go for simple multivitamins. broad range of multivitamins are available now a days.Intake of calcium and vitamin D supplements are more important for your mother.
