Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Arun's Response
Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that there is chance of getting infection of HIV by needle prick only if the needle is freshly pricked immediately after reactive patients. Because HIV was very sensitive to environmental adverse condition. It immediately dies to the even high temperature. Also the chances that needle prick wont prick previously to reactive patient. So in my advice chance of getting HIV to you is very minimal. If you have anything else to ask please contact me. Thanx. Dr. Arun Tank
