Can Protein And Blood In Urine Cause Severe Lower Back Pain?

I have has quite severe lower back pain now for a while and it's worse when I get up in the morning. As I move about it does get better but seems to be staying longer. I also have put on five stone in about four months. There is protein and blood in my urine , I have to go for fasting bloods tomorrow . Could this be linked to my kidneys.
