It felt as though it came from my throat. This has happened once before about a month and a half ago. I m 18 years old, 5 8 I don t usually smoke, but I do here and there when I m on a night out.
Hello, Smoking can be a cause of sore throat and bloody spit due to chronic irritation. You may also developed chronic bronchitis due to smoking lead to frequent infection and sore throat development. Smoking can also lead to development of either throat or lung cancer. So you should consult an ENT specialist for physical examination and further management. Some investigations like throat swab culture and sensitivity, total blood count, chest X ray PA view, CT scan chest to rule out the cause. You should try to quit smoking, increase your fluid intake, gargle with warm salt water several times a day, Antibacterial like Penicillin/ Amoxicillin should be taken for bacterial infection. Bye, take care.
