Can Rapid Heart Rate Result In Vomiting And Diarrhea?

I just got over a stomach virus that began Friday night about 1130p (now Monday 9a). I noticed after I had diarrhea twice and vomited once that my heart rate was up and it has been fairly consistent still. I finally got some Gatorade today after eating and drinking very little over the weekend - how long does it take the body to recover the electrolytes so my heart rate will go back to normal?

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* It is the effect of fluid , electrolyte imbalance that is giving raised heart
rate as secondary systemic manifestation .
* Once the underlying infection is covered , vital parameters settle down .

Hope this clears your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Welcome for any further assistance .
Regards take care .
