Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just had a BP which came out to be 143 over 101. I have never had it that high. Last time when I donated blood it was around 136 over 90. The latest BP today was during a resting ;period since I hadn;t worked out in 2 days. I run around 35 miles per week. Been a runner almost all my life. I am 53 years old.5'10"height and weigh 165 ibs. I have never smoked. But, I do drink mostly beer, around 26 to 32 per week which also includes around 3 to 4 shots of brandy. Not everyday. Usually I drink 7 Budweiser regulars with one of shot of brandy every other day during the week. Could this be the cause? I feel great though and also do a lot of push ups and some weight lifting.
