Can Ribs, Shoulder, Coughing And Breathing Pain Due To Injury Be Treated?
I was kicked by a horse two weeks ago tomorrow. Went to A&E and was told I have bruised them and given pain relief to take home. Two weeks on and still very painful. Can t sleep laying down, have about 6 pillows and still not comfortable. Pain is just one side or ribs and up towards my shoulder. Coughing is agony and breathing hurts. Is this normal?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got kicked by a horse . It may be a muscular and soft tissue injury. However you should get chest x ray done to exclude rib fracture as you are having sever pain. Treatment of it is rest, icing and analgesics (diclofenac ). Muscle relaxant such as thiocolchicoside also give relief. Vitamin B-complex and Vitamin C supplementation can used to promote healing.Breathing excercises are advisable. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.The se injuries may take nearly 15 days to got relief. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
