Can Root Canal Cause A Lump Between The Ear And Adams Apple?

My husband has a lump underneath his mandible, right side, centered between his ear and adams apple. It causes no pain, and has suddenly (within a few days) shown up. He isn't sick, has had no infection recently, but has had a root canal with the tooth bothering him in that area. Does this sound serious, and what should we do to help.

Hi,
It seems that due to infected tooth for which he has gone for root canal treatment might have giving enlarged sub-mandibular lymph node.
As there is no pain, nothing to worry, gradually it will be absorbed.
Ok and take care.
