Can Rough Sex Cause Soreness And Cut In Vagina With Discharge?
I ve been in a monogamous relationship for the last eight years. We were having sex about a week ago and it got really rough. Naturally I was sore afterwards but the soreness didn t go away. After a few days I inspected myself with a mirror to find what looked like a cut. I left it alone and have been trying not to bother it but after about a week I looked at it again and it looks like a canker sore now. I only have one though. I m having some slight discharge along with it as well. Is it possible that this is a result from rough sex or an STI?
A wound on the vulva with discharge is suggesting some infection. This infection can be a primarily sexually transmitten infection (STI) which will need STI specialist's examination, opnion and treatment. It can be a tear which has got now infected. However, the tear would have bled. You have not mentioned any bleeding observed. Hence, I feel this appears to be STI. Please do not ignore it. Most of the STI can be cured if diagnosed and treated well in time. The others can be kept in control or chronically manageable. Untreated STI can lead to deep seated infections and/or nasty complications like even infertility. Some may affect the baby in the womb also. Do not waste time for proper diagnosis and treatment. Get cured and stay cured. Get your partner also examined and treated for STI. Till that please observe sexual abstinence.
