Can Routine Examination Discover Sexual Abuse In Child?

I know of somebody who has a 14 yr old and recently started sayin the daughter was sexually abused when she was a baby/toddler and say they just found out. Wouldnt this have been discovered through routine exams in the last 13 yrs? the person the mother is accusing hasnt been around since the child was a year old.

Hi.
The approach to sexual abuse in childhood can be find out by :
1. A careful history
2. Behavioural presentation, like anxiety, new phobias, depression, nightmare, difficulty sleeping, new onset enuresis.
3. Medical presentation like genital or anal itching, discharge, pain, bruising, bleeding, dysuria, recurrent urinary tract infections.

Thank you
