Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son was dignosed with sclaraderma as a child, a skin biopsy was taken at age 13 and the dermatologist determined it was localized scleroderma (Morphea). We were told it was very generalized (3 spots on his low back, and not to worry. Today he is 21, approximately 2 years ago he started having eating proproblems, takes two bites of food and is full. He can t seem to eat an entire meal. Could these symtoms be related to the scleraderma?
Localised scleroderma won't cause dysphagia. He needs to get evaluated for parasitic infestations or Acid reflux. Avoid fatty, oily, junk dood, smoking, alcohol. He can get an upper GI endoscopy and GI motility study to confirm diagnosis.
