Can Second Hand Smoking Lead To Abnormal Urinalysis?

Hey doctor could you explain to me the difference in the screening level and the confirmation level of the urinalysis? I go to Marine boot camp in 3 weeks and i just want to know what the standards are for their drug test and if i could get as much detail as possible. I ve heard that the drug tests at Marine boot camp are extra sensitive ? By the way i do not smoke any illegal substance and i never have, i may have however been exposed to second hand marijuanna smoke and i just want to know if i could fail the urinalysis when i get to boot camp because of that?

Hello,

* Usually speaking you will not have test abnormality in most instances, though there can be a detectable level of certain Hydrocarbons in urine if the exposure to Marijuana was very close, in heavy intensity and over a period of time with particular emphasis to closed spaces.
* I would like you to drink plenty of liquids to flush out the possible residues in the circulation before you take the test ahead.
