Can Semen Intake Cause Bacterial Infections?
A friend of mine (male) is a homosexual. He is promiscuous and often swallows sperm/ semen after giving oral sex . He seems to catch a cold , have cold like symptoms, and a cough afterwards. I know that his health is at risk not because he is gay, but because he is promiscuous. My question is can bacterial infections be transmitted to the sinuses and lungs by swallowing? I am a biology major and can t help but to wonder.

As your friend is a homosexual, he often swallows the semen. Bacterial infection may be transmitted to the oropharynx, nasopharynx, hypopharynx, lung and GIT by swallowing because an infection inside of the penis or prostate may lead to high levels of bacteria in semen. I personally advised to your friend for safe sex.
